What we do.

Here at Buddy, we like dogs more than we like most people… This is why we are so passionate about providing the best facility we can to help your pets live their best lives. We offer a range of water-related activities that are specifically tailored to promote healthy living and wellness. While we are not a veterinary clinic, but we will partner with your vet to ensure they are getting the right exercise for their unique situations.

We also believe that a healthy lifestyle is vital for every canine, and proactively offer alternative forms of exercise to walking or dog parks to keep them happy, stimulated and strong.

Swimming is a great alternative to walking, especially when it's super hot outside.

A temperature chart titled 'Hot Pavement' warning that hot pavement may be harmful to dogs' paws. It shows temperatures in Fahrenheit for air and asphalt, with red, orange, and yellow text indicating different temperature levels. The chart warns that at 125°F, skin destruction will occur in seconds, and asks if it is too hot for a walk.

The temperatures in LA keep rising, becoming increasingly too hot to safely walk our pets during the day. Our fun and fitness swims are a great alternative to walking them in the blistering heat, and a better way to provide your dog with the exercise they need.

Even if you don't swim with us, please keep this information in mind and avoid heading out for that walk during the hottest times of the day. Enjoy morning or evening walks instead, and remember that grassy and cooler surfaces are safest in warm temperatures.

Test the surface temp with the back of your hand for 7 seconds. If it feels too hot for your hand, it's too hot for your dog's paws.

Adult dogs sleep 12-14 hours each day on average, so they they're bursting at the seams with pent-up energy. While a simple walk around the neighborhood may suffice, swimming is far more enjoyable, gentler on the body, and offers more exercise in a shorter amount of time. Not to mention, it’s cooler on hot days.

Dogs of all shapes, sizes and fitness levels can enjoy our fun & fitness swims as an alternative form of exercise or to get some relief from the heat outside. Swimming is a great way to to prevent future medical issues like injury or arthritis, manage weight loss, and to keep your dog stimulated and happy.
